Well, hello world, I’m Nessa, a writer from Ottawa, and this website is my creative outlet. I have been writing and getting lost in books for as long as I can remember.
This project represents my love for storytelling and my aspiration to connect with people through words. It is my dream to one day publish my debut novel, and I believe that sharing my writing here is an important step towards my dream.
As someone who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, my experiences shape the poems and short stories I write. Writing has become an essential outlet for expressing the complexities of my illness; it’s something I want to help destigmatize.
It’s still very early days, and I’m still learning the ropes of working on a website and the vision I have for it. So please bear with me while I get my poetry and short stories on here.
